In the image below the sugar cube was 84mm from the lens. This is the minimum distance that this lens will focus on. The sugar cube is 16mm x 14mm.
In these sample images, the sensor used was a 1/4" Sony ICX618. The first image is focused at a distance of 54mm from the lens and the second at 68mm. This lens has a high F Number of f11 and this creates a large depth of field allowing a large section of the image to be in focus. Unfortunately, this does also mean these images suffer from significant noise due to reduced light reaching the sensor.

How do I choose the right lens for my application?

What are the differences between C-mount and M12 lenses in industrial applications?
