What are the ID2000 Series Code Readers?
The ID2000 series is a compact industrial barcode reader that can be integrated into automated machinery and various automated assembly line applications for proximity barcode scanning. Facilitates the recognition of various 1D and 2D codes, as well as DPM codes such as laser engravings, inkjet prints, and more. The decoding frame rate can achieve up to 20 frames per second, while the code reading speed can reach 45 codes per second. Furthermore, its patented lighting design ensures high-quality image illumination.
NOTE: The compatible software for this device is IDMVS.
FAQ's & Further Information
How do I choose the right camera for my application?
Choosing the right camera involves evaluating several key factors, including the size and speed of the object being inspected, the required resolution, the field of view, and environmental conditions such as lighting and vibration. Understanding these parameters ensures that the selected camera can reliably capture the necessary image data for accurate inspection or measurement.
Do I need a rolling shutter or a global shutter camera?
The choice between a rolling shutter and a global shutter depends on your application, particularly the speed of motion you need to capture and the level of image accuracy required.
A rolling shutter sensor captures an image line-by-line. This makes it a cost-effective option and perfectly suitable for many general-purpose vision tasks where objects are relatively static or moving slowly. However, when imaging fast-moving objects or scenes with rapid changes, rolling shutter can introduce distortion (such as skewing or “jello” effects).
A global shutter sensor, on the other hand, captures the entire image at the same instant. This eliminates motion distortion and ensures accurate image capture, making it ideal for high-speed applications such as industrial automation, robotics, and inspection systems.
