Scorpion Vision Software 4.1 is available and packed with new features and details making it easier to develop and maintain robust Machine Vision systems. Scorpion is probably the most powerful non-programming development environment for vision systems available on a PC platform.

We are proud to announce a new major Scorpion Vision Software release 4.0 with a large number of enhancements.Based on feedback from users, partners and factory installations we have carefully selected, implemented and verified a large number of minor and major improvements:

  • Flexible access to Oracle and MS-SQL Server databases using Python ODBC interface

  • Improved and enhanced camera support

  • New page manager simplifies adding custom project pages to a Scorpion solution

  • User configurable data input pages simplifies user configuration

  • Scripting support for .Net objects

In version 4.0, Scorpion is enhanced with three very powerful data tools. To the left a polygon model defined by the user is used to measure colour coverage. The model is stored in ExternalPolygon.

Firewire Imaging - multiple low-cost cameras connected to a standard PC with user-friendly and innovative software, drastically reduces the total cost of ownership in Machine Vision.

 

Offline System Verification helps the user to optimize the image processing and add new products without disturbing the on-going production. Based on logged images the inspection profiles are tested and modified on a separate computer.

 

Implementing vision systems in factory automation is a complex task - with Scorpion Vision Software development and maintenance is performed without any programming.
